Essay of plural numbers in Kalimni

There is an interesting moment in Kalimni and it is dual number. This term is used for scrupled things those are appeared in pairs. This idea is gone from MSA and old Arabic and is remained in modern language. Using of dual number isn’t very wide spreaded but it is true Arabic words issue. We can see words with special dual ending [un] in Kalimni and it is special ending for dual (paired) objects in the masculine gender. For example, [bayt], (house) and its dual version {baytyn}. It means that there are two housed somewhere.

In modern Arabic, using of the dual number is decreased and this number isn’t widely used but we have to know about the number because it is Arabic component in Kalimni. Sometimes, there can be used plural forms in a place of the dual number and this is normal for Kalimni as Arabic dialect. So, let’s look onto the dual numbers with full sized point of view. We already knew that there are the two numbers in Kalimni as an Arabic dialect. But dual number gives the third number. Its endings are [yn] for masculine nouns and [uyin] for feminine.

We see that the endings are close one to other and the ending for masculine objects is used when there is a masculine object in a pair and vise versa, if we talk about two feminine genders objects. This dual number makes an influence onto other parts of speech when it is used there.

As we think, the dual number is a wonder in Arabic because there are two other numbers but according to Arabic traditions, the dual numbers am important moment and we won’t’ look onto of articles and not about Arabic traditions and history.

So we are working with dual numbers but a short comment and addition to our transcrisription, we have to read [bayt] as [bait] without a traditional long English ‘i’ so for denying any doubts. We will use ‘y’ in all cases because it is a short vowel sound and it permits to us correct transcriptions in articles further.

We saw that the dual numbers can be used in Kalimni it is a grammatical moment that is a rest of the Arabic language things taken from classical Arabic but we won’t work with it because roots and went in the past are important but we work with the Egyptian dialect in present days Kalimni. This dialect is importance for everyday life of trailer in Egypt and it is a cause of given transcription for every shown rule because we will work with Kalimni writing farther for illustration of full-side Kaliamni an Arabic dialect of modern Egypt.
